This year for Oral Cancer Awareness Month, our office is
partnering with the Oral Cancer Foundation for an Open House to offer
complimentary oral cancer screenings on Wednesday, April 29th from 9
a.m. to 4 p.m. An appointment is required and can be secured by calling us at 212-689-0024.
In addition, our office is performing the oral cancer screenings during the entire month
of April at the reduced cost of $39 (regularly $78). Half of the
proceeds from the oral cancer screenings for this month will be donated
to The Oral Cancer Foundation!
Here are a few things to consider:
Oral cancer does not discriminate according to age, race or gender.
Early detection of oral cancer is most important because it provides a
greater chance that treatment will be successful. Symptoms include
non-healing sores, growths and patches on oral tissues, gums or the
tongue. The professionals at our office use Velscope
screenings to detect abnormal changes in the oral tissues, in order for
them to be treated before they develop into something more serious.
We, the entire team of Herald Square Dental & The Denture Center feel strongly about
prevention and have been offering oral cancer screenings for years. To
prevent oral cancer, we suggests visiting a dentist
every six months for a routine checkup that includes an oral cancer
